Operation Literacy presents the ultimate experience for young storytellers, educators, and book lovers of all ages, combining the fun of a national book festival with the education and guidance of a serious writer’s conference.

Young writers who come to StoryCon attend classes with a diverse array of author mentors who will inspire and empower them to tell their own stories with motivational pep talks, practical techniques, engaging examples, and hands-on experimentation with words. Attendees return to their school communities as enthusiastic advocates for literacy.

StoryCon includes the following tracks:

• Teen Author Boot Camp

• Tween Author Boot Camp

• Educator Base Camp with a focus on teaching reading and writing and gaining masters degree credits for step and lane changes.

• A free Expo Hall open to the general public that includes vendors, book signings, games, panel discussions, and publishing-related services.
